Our Regional Areas

The Gascoyne region spans the Shires of Carnarvon, Exmouth, Shark Bay, and Upper Gascoyne, with Carnarvon as its regional hub located about 1,000 km north of Perth. This remarkable area boasts two UNESCO World Heritage-listed marine reserves, fertile agricultural and pastoral lands, and the awe-inspiring Mount Augustus which is the world’s largest monocline.
