There are limited services available in both Coral Bay and Gascoyne Junction.
There are also many support services that families can access ranging from Disability Services, Centrelink, to the Department of Communities and Child Protection.
As the youth of today are tomorrow’s future, numerous private and government bodies in the Gascoyne have identified that it’s of paramount importance to nurture growth and support mental and physical development.
Across the Gascoyne, there are many recreational facilities including skate parks, playgrounds, ovals, pools, splash parks, basketball and netball courts, squash courts, gymnasiums and a variety of recreational activities as well as Shire and Parks and Wildlife Service led school holiday programs.
There is a newly renovated PCYC in Carnarvon offering activities and programs for youth. There is also a variety of organised sporting clubs offering activities such as netball, cricket, football, soccer and basketball for all age groups. Sport and recreation activities are supported by Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, located in Carnarvon.
